Flow over Drip

My heart is grieving for the Church today.

.

As I sat in a service feeling the power of God wanting to break through but sensing a resistance I asked the Lord - What is the problem? Why wont you come?

His response nearly shocked me, but simultaneously broke my heart - "The people aren't looking at me, they are looking at celebrity pastors attempting to drink from the oil dripping from them but refusing to look to the source."

.

I asked for God's mercy over the people and continued to press in. I noticed a few people responded the the Spirit attempting to press through. Some ran, others wept. Breakthrough came for those determined to look at Jesus. But others stood by wondering why it seemed to miss them.

.

Today as I reflected on it all the Lord led me to Exodus - where the people refused to meet with God directly, but instead said they'd listen to Moses -- as long as Moses did the hard work. Going up to the mountain and living consecrated.

But God's original intent was to dwell with ALL the people.

.

His heart is for His people.

.

How upsetting it must be to make a beautiful creation that rejects your very presence.

.

But oh how beautiful the Church would be if we flowed in this relentless pursuit of presence over performance. If we looked to the oil himself rather than the pastor / evangelist / preacher that has done the hard work of going up to the mountain.

The ground is level at calvary

.

How powerful we would be as the Church when believers, by the sacrifice of Jesus, carry the Holy Ghost within them, and then come into a sanctuary where he dwells among them.

Surely... we would turn the world upside down.

.

That is the power of pentecost.

This is the significance of the Church.

.

You have access to the FLOW from Glory, do not settle for the drip from someone's vessel.
