The Balm of Gilead

Some time ago in prayer I had a vision. I saw myself bent down on a battlefield. I was dressed in armor, like something you might see in a gladiator movie. However I had a large piece of metal shrapnel in my back. As the Lord zoomed in on the shrapnel I could see that my skin was growing around this, like it had accepted it as a part of itself. The Lord told me “you’ve been okay with this being here, but I am not”.

Then in the same vision I watched the hand of God pull on the shrapnel. I watched my skin turn red and pull up as the Lord gently began to tug on the injury site. I winced in the natural and felt my eyes water as I watched this unfold.

I knew that the Lord was after WHOLENESS, when I had just settled for a HEALING around the injury.

Being a nurse I know that in order for someone to truly heal, you need to remove as much of the foreign material as possible. And - if left there for too long - the body will begin to grow over it, but the true potential will be impacted. Because it’s learning to sustain and accept something that isn’t meant to be there. Which impacts true health and function.

The same is true in the spirit.

We accept and latch on to things, hurts, situations, etc that we were never meant to.

Sure, we will experience adverse events that bring harm and injury to our soul & spiritual body. But we must not allow these things to take root.

So often we ask God to fix the outward, but we refuse to truly deal with the deep soul hurts that impact our spiritual wellbeing.

God cares more about your wholeness, more about your true healing than you do.

So, when he brings things to the surface— or pulls at deep hurt, surrender to the scalpel of the Holy Ghost and allow Him to remove the debris of past seasons so that you can go forth accomplishing all that God has.

God is healing the bride in a way we never saw coming, but the fruit will speak for itself.

Humbled and Whole.

That is the cadence of the Bride in this hour.

Carrying the Glory low and slow. With boldness and Power. All from abiding in the vine, and hiding in the secret place. Allowing Holy Ghost surgery in the darkest of night, leaning into the balm of gilead.

He recovers. He revives. He restores.

To God be the Glory.
